“Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing?
and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Fear ye not therefore,
ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
One of the tremendous blessings of Scripture memory is being able to remember the Lord’s words in difficult times. Not only for our own hearts, but also for the hearts of others. Recently, before getting some blood drawn, the Lord helped me quote Matthew 10:29-31 (I think it was the whole thing :) for the lady helping me. We were both facing a similar fear and it was neat to be able to touch both of our hearts with the Lord’s words.
In the passage above Christ tells the twelve apostles not to fear. Isn’t that neat? Perhaps you are like me: able to find plenty of things to be afraid of or worried about! However, for those of us who know the Lord as our Savior, we have no reason to be afraid. Our Father is watching over us!
