How can we make our homes a practical discipleship location when they are places where other people live, work, and play?

Here’s a few tips from the perspective of a daughter:

  • Double check with your parents and the family master calendar before scheduling an in-home session (be sure to add your new appointment!),
  • Give the rest of the family a heads up the day before (we all forget!), and
  • Meet in a household room that leaves much of the house free.

(Special Note: I’ve found that it’s best to not have in-person deep conversations with gals in bedrooms. Other living areas make the fact that the Lord is listening to the conversation a bit more relevant.)

“And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”
