Q: What is Scripture Memory?

A: Scripture memory is knowing a verse from the Bible so well that you can say it anywhere, at any time, without looking at the written text.

Q: Why should I memorize Scripture?

A: There are many reasons to memorize Scripture. One reason is to help you to do what is right (Psalm 119:11).

Q: When can I memorize Scripture?

A: You can memorize Scripture anytime of the day!

Q: Where can I memorize Scripture?

A: You can memorize Scripture anywhere!

Q: How do I memorize Scripture?

A: Once you have selected a verse to memorize it is helpful to write it out on an index card. Read it, think about it, and say it over and over again until you can say it without looking at the verse card. Each time you say the verse, say the verse reference before and after the verse. When you can say it without looking, the verse is hidden in your heart! Congratulations!
